The best adapters on the market are PLX devices (Kiwi adapter) and ScanTool.net (OBDLink adapters). These adapters are the best performance and compatible with vehicles, and they are manufactured to a high standard. We recommend you buy a high quality adapter and suggest you forgot the cheap chinese clone OBDII adapter. If you are on a budget, look for an old model of one of the coverage models. You can find a good deal on a genuine adapter.
In any case, we do not recommend using cloned OBD2 adapters. Some of them may work but some will not. Moreover, getting a similar looking device does not guarantee the same behavior. Manufacturers of mirrors put different electronics in the same house. At least prepare to return a defective unit to the seller. Be sure to check your refund policy before you buy.
