Jefferson County Public Schools said Tuesday it is working to stabilize student transportation services as classes continue across the district, following ongoing disruptions affecting bus routes and pickup times, according to district officials. The district said the situation has affected multiple schools in Louisville and surrounding areas and remains a priority for administrators.

District officials said challenges include staffing shortages and route adjustments, which have contributed to delays for some students. JCPS said it has deployed additional resources and is continuing to adjust schedules in coordination with transportation contractors.

Superintendent Marty Pollio said in a statement that the district is communicating directly with families impacted by delays and is monitoring routes daily. He said ensuring students arrive at school safely and on time remains the district’s primary focus.

Parents in several parts of the county reported inconsistent pickup times, according to messages shared with school administrators. JCPS said families should continue checking official district communications for updates and guidance.

The district added that transportation operations will be reassessed as conditions change and that further updates will be issued if adjustments are required. No school closures have been announced.
